Powertools4u.com is a review and buying guidance site for power tools, electrical test equipment and workshop gear. We publish written breakdowns of individual products so you can work out which one suits your job and your budget before you spend the money.

How our coverage is produced
We will be straight with you, because plenty of sites are not. We do not physically test the tools we write about. There is no workshop behind this site and no bench of samples.
Every review is built from three sources: the manufacturer’s published specifications, the data attached to retailer listings such as model numbers, kit contents and warranty terms, and aggregated owner feedback drawn from large volumes of buyer reviews. We pay particular attention to complaints that repeat, because a fault hundreds of owners mention independently is the most reliable signal about how a tool behaves after months of use.
That method has limits. We cannot tell you how a saw feels in the hand or measure battery runtime ourselves. What we can do is read specifications carefully, catch the differences between similar model numbers, and summarise what owners consistently report.
What you get from a review
Each write up answers the questions a retail listing tends to dodge:
- A specification breakdown in plain English, focused on the numbers that matter.
- A comparison against alternatives at the same price point, not against tools costing three times as much.
- What is genuinely in the box, since kit contents vary between model numbers that look identical.
- Who the tool suits, and who should spend less or more.

How to use this site
If you know roughly what you need, start with a category. Our deepest sections are handheld flashlights and multi testers, where there is enough range to compare properly. If you are still deciding, read two or three reviews in the same category. The differences between them tell you more about what matters in that class of tool than any single review can.
